By Lance LarcomNorthern Tier West Sports ReportWESTFIELD — Williamson took the opportunity to hold their dual meet Tuesday against Wellsboro at Cowanesque Valley High School in order to honor two of their three senior wrestlers .. Mike Sipps and Kade Sottolano .. who attend CV, and the Warriors responded by recording six falls on the night and topping the Hornets 55-12.
With the meet starting at 113 pounds, the Warriors’ remaining senior, Chelsea Hungerford, fell victim to a second-period pin by Wellsboro’s Alec Magli.
After no match at 120 pounds, Williamsons’ Blaine Link won by fall, Carter Gontarz received a forfeit at 132 and Ayden Sprague (138) and Owen Cummings (145) picked up falls for the Warriors.
Aidric Passerelo won by major decision at 152, followed by a Joel Hultz pin at 160 and Tim Freeman won by decision at 172 pounds.
Wellsboro’s Isaac Keane won by forfeit at 189, before Sipps (215) and Sottolano (285) each won by fall.
Wyatt Dacheux received a forfeit at 106 pounds for Williamson to finish the meet.
