NTL GIRLS BASKETBALL: WILLIAMSON FALLS AT WYALUSING (2022-01-22)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportWYALUSING — Williamson got a game-high 15 points from sophomore Taylor Rae Jones, but it wouldn’t be enough as the Warriors fell to the Rams 56-28 in NTL girls’ crossover play Saturday.
Jones scored six first-quarter points, and Gracie Jones added three, as Williamson fell behind 12-9 after one. Wyalusing outscored the Warriors 15-4 in the second quarter to take a 27-13 lead into halftime.
After an 8-7 third quarter in favor of the Rams .. with Jones accounting for all seven Williamson points .. Wyalusing cruised to a 15-8 fourth and the win.
Olivia Meisner added four points for Williamson and Stephens finished with three points. Emma Meisner, Kayla Burrows and Cassidy Andreason each chipped in with two points.
Williamson falls to 3-8 with the loss. They are scheduled to host NP-Mansfield on Wednesday.
