NTL GIRLS BASKETBALL: COWANESQUE VALLEY FALLS AT TOWANDA (2022-01-24) By Lance Larcom Northern Tier West Sports Report TOWANDA — Cowanesque Valley fell behind a high-powered Towanda squad early and lost 53-23 in NTL girls’ crossover action Monday.
The Lady Knights ran out to a 24-5 first-quarter lead and extended that to 40-6 by halftime. The Lady Indians managed a seven point third quarter and held a 10-3 edge in the fourth against Towanda’s substitutes.
Paisley Nudd hit a pair of three pointers in the game and finished with a team-high eight points for CV.
Ashley Woodring added five points while Ella Churchill scored four points. Maddie Millard, Renee Abbott and Kyra Daley each chipped in with two points.
Cowanesque Valley falls to 1-10 with the loss. They are scheduled to host Wyalusing on Wednesday.
