NTL BOYS SOCCER: MOUNTIES HAND ATHENS LONE LEAGUE LOSS IN REGULAR SEASON FINALE (2025-10-09)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportATHENS — North Penn-Liberty scored the lone goal that NTL champ Athens has conceded in league play this year and edged the Wildcats 1-0 in the Mounties’ final game of the regular season on Thursday.
After neither team could find the net in regulation, the match went into overtime and with 4:40 left in the first OT period, NP-Liberty’s Parker Jackson scored the game-winner, off an assist by Truman Loudenslager.
The Wildcats out shot Liberty 9-5 as Mountie keeper Deakon Valentine earned the clean sheet with nine saves.
The Mounties finish the regular season 10-7-1. They await their District 4 playoff seeding and currently sit in the 9th spot of the power rankings.
