MANSFIELD — The North Penn-Mansfield golf team struggled throughout their season this fall, finishing last in all but one NTL match and often times failing to field a full roster of score-able players, but junior Andrew Green finished at or near the top of the leaderboard every week, including at the District IV and PIAA tournaments.

Green had a low-round score of 76 and finished the regular season with an 83 average, just two strokes off the NTL’s top golfer, Kannon Vanduzer of Sayre, and seven strokes ahead of the next lowest-scorer in the league.

At Districts, Green used 10 pars to card an 80 for his first round and shot an 84 in his second, finishing just three strokes off the title-winning round and placing fourth.

Green started off his State round with a one-over 37 on the front nine and finished in 15th place with a 79, just three strokes away from bringing home a medal.

NP-Mansfield’s remaining team members (with season-low score) included: freshman Ayden Wheeland (96), junior Eli Stein (128), junior Bryanna Johnson (116), freshman Brayden Pequignot (132) and junior Katie Mossman (124).
